Mileage

All of our prices include VAT & comprehensive insurance with a maximum of 200 miles per day or 3000 per month.

Small, Medium and standard cars (plus 4x4 and Executive) 
For hire of cars with ratings small, medium and standard hirers/drivers must be a minimum of 23 years of age, have held a full clean licence for the past 2 years. The maximum age for rentals is under 70.

Minibus (9 seats and over including the driver)
Hirers/drivers must be a minimum of 23 years of age, have held a full clean licence for the past 2 years. The maximum age for rentals is under 70.

NB - Vehicles with less than 9 seats, including the driver's seat, are considered cars.

Van, Luton box van & Specialist vehicles
Vans and Luton hirer/drivers must be a minimum age of 23 years of age, have held a full clean licence for the past 2 years. The maximum age for rentals is under 70.

Our standard insurance excesses are as follows:

Cars : 

£1800 - Drivers aged between 23 and 70 years

Vans :

£1800 - Drivers aged between 23 and 70 years

Whilst all of our vehicles are maintained within manufacturer recommended intervals, occasionally, you may be subject to a mechanical breakdown or tyre puncture.

In the event of a breakdown, all of our vehicles are covered by the respective Manufacturers breakdown services.

If you have your own breakdown insurance (eg AA, RAC or Green Flag), you can use that.

Actions to take in the event of a breakdown :

• Pull over and park the car in a safe area and turn on the hazard warning lights

• Call the Manufacturers breakdown assistance helpline to let them know the issue

  • Do not pay for a local mechanic unless Vale Car & Van Rental have authorised you to do so.
• Retain any receipts as evidence of any payments as these will be required in order to reimburse you should that be the case.

Actions to take in the event of an accident :

• Obtain details of anyone else involved in the accident (use the below as a guide)

• DO NOT ADMIT LIABILITY at the scene of the accident or subsequently
• Take photographs of the vehicles involved and the location.
• Call the Police if circumstances necessitate
  • Take details of the Police officers name and badge number
• Call Vale Car & Van Rental or Capulus Helpline from the scene if you are able to
